DiverseRCA Exhibition
Every other year the Student Support Office at the RCA co-ordinates a week of exhibitions and training events aimed at raising awareness college-wide of diversity issues (It's also open to the public). The theme of diversity covers Race, Religion, Disability, Age, Sex, Gender, Sexual Orientation and lots more.

This year, under the new name of DiverseRCA, we decided to make it an RCA (and ex-RCA) contributor-only event. Free exhibition space at the RCA was made available in the Seminar Rooms in the Darwin Building from the 11th to the 15th of December 06, and on Tuesday the 12th of December a very successful Open Evening was held, attended by over 150 students and staff.
We had an excellent response from AlumniRCA members, and many of their contributions featured in the exhibition. Though they are too numerous to mention here, we had contributions from as far afield as California and Australia, with contributors going back as far as the 1970s. Those who came along on the night also enjoyed music, a film by RCA graduate Simon Raven, and just a little alchohol. A series of workshops ran throughout the week dealing with subjests such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Mental Health Awareness, Stress/meditation, two of which were led by RCA graduates.

Thanks to all of you who contributed and attended. We hope you found DiverseRCA as rewarding as we did.
